Get ready for a wild ride as we dive into the goat-tastic details of this utterly awesome event happening right in South Jersey.
The Goat Munch Magic
If you've ever dreamt of a world where goats take charge of gardening, your dreams are about to come true! Operation Goat Munch is a remarkable scheme designed to reduce the amount of poison ivy and other invasive weeds from choking our precious plants and trees in Saddler's Woods.
By bringing in this team of professional weed-whackers (aka goats), this initiative ensures the preservation of our beautiful woodland oasis (and makes it a safer place for the community to explore).
Not a petting zoo
First things first — please remember that these goats are on a mission, not for snuggles! 🚫
While they may be irresistibly cute, Operation Goat Munch kindly requests that visitors admire these herbivorous heroes from a distance. Due to their job at munching away at poison ivy, their fur and saliva is hazardous to human skin!
These ten goats have traveled all the way from Hudson Valley NY. Some are retired milking goats and others were rescued from abusive petting zoos, and now they get to spend their days filling their unrivaled appetites with all the food they could ever want! You’ll see the goats make quick work of invasive plants.
